Transition. More than a color, pink is like a suspended mood, a delicate transition from white to red in shades never quite one or the other. Franciacorta Rosé gives a magical sensation midpoint between two hues. The rosé color is obtained after brief maceration of red Pinot Nero grapes. Just a few hours are needed to get that special tint recalling springtime sunsets: you must seize the moment, an instant earlier it's too pale, an instant later it's too dark. And then a delicate blending with Chardonnay and slow, patient maturation. Cuvée Prestige Rosé, the ideal Franciacorta for momentous occasions. Especially the most romantic.

TASTING NOTES
This award winning pink sparkler provides a magical sensation midpoint between the two hues of white and red. Salmon pink in colour with a fine and persistent mousse, it is surprisingly rich on the nose, with a deep floral notes of rose and peony in addition to fruity pomegranate and strawberry aromas. It is fruity when tasted, and fresh with a subtle and delicate effervescence.

PRODUCER
There are moments without words that only sensations can define, feelings that reach the heart and become the rapture, joy and beauty of a moment to be treasured deep inside. The art of wine is one such moment, a masterpiece created by the talent that few possess, in which dedication and ability blend in a magical, mystical marriage with nature. The infinite in a single drop, fruit of a slow, devoted and meticulous passion. People, like territories, have a vocation. And so it was that a fifteen-year-old boy had a lightning intuition of what life could be like pursuing it. The meeting between young Maurizio Zanella and gentle Franciacorta, when his mother moved to Erbusco and planted the first vineyard, was the initial contact with what would be the love of his life. But it was after a trip to Champagne, to the famous maisons whose wine had always fascinated and inspired him, that Maurizio returned with the unshakable idea of making something similar. What was once a house in a chestnut wood became one of the most trailblazing wineries in Italy. Since then a single principle has been defining the essence of Ca’ del Bosco: the quest for excellence.

WINERY & VINIFICATION
Cuvée Prestige Rosé is obtained from the separate fermentation of Pinot Nero and Chardonnay grapes. As soon as the grapes are picked, using small cases, they are graded and chilled. Each bunch is selected by experienced eyes before visiting our “berry spa”, an exclusive bunch washing and jet spray system that incorporates three soaking vats and a drying tunnel. The Pinot Nero grapes are transported over the vat where the berries are separated from the stems and fall in by force of gravity. Maceration with brief skin contact lasts 24-36 hours, just enough to obtain the special delicate pink hue that makes Francicorta Rosé such a distinctive wine in the bottle. Later, the must is separated from the skins to be fermented in small oak casks and steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The Chardonnay grapes are vinified in the traditional manner, with whole-bunch pressing. The best fractions of the must ferment separately in vats. After seven months of maturation, the magic ritual of blending the cuvée from the Pinot Nero and Chardonnay base wines is carried out. The cuvée is then bottled and aged for an average of 30 months on the lees in underground cellars at a constant temperature of 12 °C. Disgorgement takes place in the absence of oxygen using a unique system designed and patented by Ca’ del Bosco. The procedure avoids oxidative stress or the need for additional sulphites, making Ca’ del Bosco Franciacortas purer, more appealing and longer lived. Finally, every bottle is given an individual marking to ensure its traceability.
