PRODUCER
Château Agnel is a sixteenth-century property situated at the western end of Minervois, close to Carcassonne. Philippe Agnel has been the proprietor since 1991, and has invested in renovating and modernising the winery.
VINEYARD
The grapes were picked at night from thirty-year-old vines planted on south-facing clay-limestone slopes.
WINERY
The grapes were chilled to 10°C for pre-fermentation maceration, then fermented with pumpovers and délestage during the early phases of fermentation, with a four-week maceration in total.
