PRODUCER
The Hamelin family has been growing vines in Chablis for six generations, each one adding to the holdings and developing the winemaking techniques. The domaine now stands at thirty-seven hectares, spread between the villages of Poinchy, Beines and Lignorelles.
VINEYARD
The Hamelins possess 3.5 hectares of the premier cru Vau Ligneau, a very steep site exposed south and southeast, and occupying a sheltered valley position. The vines were planted between 1978 and 1980.
WINERY
The grapes were pressed and the must fed by gravity to temperature- controlled stainless steel tanks for fermentation. The wine was bottled without having seen any oak.
