TASTING NOTES
Soft, round, easy-drinking rosé full of juicy strawberry and cherry fruit, with a touch of Syrah spice
PRODUCER
In 1951, at the age of eighteen, Georges Duboeuf began delivering wine to local restaurants on his bicycle. Since then he has become one of the most important and influential wine producers in France. Often described as the King of Beaujolais, Duboeuf is also its most tireless ambassador, though his range now extends far beyond that region. Duboeuf still tastes hundreds of wines each day, and marshals his enormous production almost single-handed. While flower-label Beaujolais remains his empire’s most recognisable creation, one must remember he is a merchant as well as a winemaker: the company distributes numerous high-quality domaine wines not only from Beaujolais, but also white burgundies, Vins de Pays, and even a Côtes-du-Rhône.
VINEYARD
These Syrah grapes are sourced from the Hérault, one of the most renowned sub-zones of the Languedoc.
WINERY
The wine was fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless steel to preserve delicacy and freshness, with a brief skin contact to give the pink colour.
