TASTING NOTES
Delicious ripe Saint-Emilion, with plum and redcurrant fruit allied to a fruitcake-style richness. It opens to lovely aromas of ripe blackberries and dark cherries which connect with spices, graphite and toast. This medium-full bodied red is well structured and balanced, focused around a core of dark fruits and spices which expand on to the long finish. This will age beautifully over the next few years, however it is also an excellent wine to approach early on.
- WineReport
Garnet black colour. Aromas and flavors of chocolate espresso bean, toasted sandalwood and pencil shavings, berry pie crust, and hint of lilac water with a bright, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a distinctive, very long finish evoking accents of cinnamon roll, craisin and dried tomato, cedar, and earth with well-integrated, chewy, dusty tannins and moderate oak flavor. A remarkably complex, spicy, and satisfying young Saint Emilion with an even brighter future ahead of it.

Great care is lavished on the vines using the finest growing techniques, such as leaf-stripping, pruning of lateral shoots and green harvesting. The average age of the vines is forty years and they are situated on gravel/clay soils. This second wine, called Lalande de Gravet, is the product of the younger vines.
WINERY
