Producer
This estate was bought in 1353 by the son of Dante “Divine Comedy” Alighieri, and is still owned by his descendants; Masi lend their winemaking expertise. Cool vineyards near the Lake Garda give wonderful richness and clarity to the flavours.

Vineyard
The grapes come from estate vineyards in Gargagnago di Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella. The soil is compact red sedimentary over limestone. The alluvial soil, along with a microclimate influenced by the cool temperatures of the Adige river basin, makes for ideal conditions for the production of white wines.

Winery
The two grape varieties were vinified separately in stainless steel tanks at 12-16oC. The Sauvignon received no skin contact, fermenting for fifteen to eighteen days. It finished its fermentation in barriques, where it then remained for three months. The Garganega had twelve hours on skins before a three-week fermentation period, and remained in stainless steel until blending.

Taste
Typical Sauvignon complexity on the nose with a green apple bouquet. Soft on the palate, but with a good structure, and distinct pear and pineapple flavours. Attractive citrus-peel tinges lend freshness to the finish.
