TASTING NOTES
Open and expressive on the nose, with notes of citrus, apple and herbs. The palate is round and apricotty, yet with a mineral tautness that provides a very elegant finish.
FOOD PAIRING
Wine accompanies a wide gastronomic ranger, with a predilection for both dishes based on fish of the sea and lake, and pasta and rice dishes as well as second courses always of fish, grilled, in casseroles, baked, Mediterranean fried, gratins, soups in various ways, and according to local tradition.
PRODUCER
The Pratello estate occupies a favourable spot on a hillside overlooking Lake Garda. The owners, the Bertola family, have planted the most suitable sixty-six of the 140 hectares with vines; the rest of the land is given over to forest and cereal crops.
VINEYARD
The vineyards have been cultivated organically since 2004, on mineral- rich clay soils. The loose soil structure provides excellent drainage, while the lakeside exposition encourages airflow that helps keep the grapes healthy.
WINERY
Following a cold maceration, the juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks over ten days. It was then racked and aged in tank for three months before bottling.
